It all started with a phone call from a friend I’d never met…
That may sound weird. But like many, even most online entrepreneurs, I’ve become close with lots of wonderful people via the Internet ~ even though we’ve never (yet) been in the same room together.
So when Debbie phoned me from Ohio (I live near San Francisco, btw) to invite me to team up with her in an amazing new company ~ and said that our mutual online friends Kathy (from Florida) and Heather (from Massachusetts) had already joined ~ I signed up on the spot.

The company is called EvolvHealth. It launched in February 2010, and its flagship “Evolv Enhanced Water Beverage” product and innovative compensation plan have already made a huge splash (pun intended!) in the world of direct sales and marketing.

First order of business for our fledgling team: finding a name that strikes the right balance between businesslike and playful. So when someone suggested “Evolv’ing Divas” during a Skype chat, we all cracked up, keyed in our little “smiley face” and “ROFL” emoticons, and made it official.

Then, in the “perfect timing” department, we saw that Evolv was about to hold its first Leadership Symposium in Toronto, Canada. So we all signed up, booked our flights, agreed to cram all five of us (Debbie drove up with her friend Jen, also from Ohio) into one shared hotel room, and headed toward Toronto from, almost literally, three out of the four corners of the country.
Though none of us (except, of course, Debbie and Jen) had never met before, IRL (In Real Life) 
, the weekend actually felt more like a family reunion of long-lost cousins than a first-time get-together. We had *already* forged tight bonds online and on the phone. We had already “met” each other’s families. We had already shared in each other’s pastimes, passions and goals.
Debbie and Jen, close friends from Cleveland, are building a thriving EVOLV business together.
Most of all, as “The Evolv’ing Divas” (which, by the way, has spawned a larger, co-ed group, “The Evolv’ing Masterminds”), we had already co-created an ambitious, long-term plan for success. And as a team, we made the commitment to “Evolv” together, in both health *and* wealth.
