Jodi, Christina and I celebrate our Pisces birthdays with the requisite glass of bubblicious goodness…

Welcome back, my friends! I hope you’ve been making the most of February’s fun and tasty occasions ~ Valentine’s Day, Mardi Gras, Chinese New Year and more.

Around here, my friends and I have started our own, very special tradition, which *also* involves a full month of parties.

What’s the best part? You’re invited to join us! Read on…

With such an *outrageous* birthday cake, who needs candles! (Thanks, Erica!!!)

What an *outrageous* birthday cake (Thanks, Erica)! With all these cool bells and whistles, who needs candles!

Given that my last post involved Chinese New Year (*Click Here* to recap) and its astrology, why don’t we trot out the Zodiac once again.

This time, though, we’ll look at the Western version. (Right. That all-too-familiar “Hi. What’s your sign?” 😉 )

Yes, I’m a Pisces. And as it turns out, *lots* of the gals and guys in my life have Pisces birthdays too.

And whether or not you put any stock in astrology, you too (and your “sign-mates”) are literally born with an excuse to party for weeks at a time.

My friends and I, in various groupings, love getting together to celebrate, Pisces-style. (Along with a spontaneous approach to planning, and lots of quirky details, this usually means something seafoody on the menu.)

Christina, Ahna, Erica and I raise our first toast of the "season" to our Pisces birthdays. (It sure won't be our last!)

Christina, Ahna, Erica and I raise our first toast of the month-long “season” to our Pisces birthdays.

As for the “weeks at a time” part: Because our actual birthdays stretch cusp to cusp, from February 20 (Erica) to March 19th (Ahna and Ron), we really do need a whole month (and more!) to do right by everyone.

(That’s, as they say, my story ~ and I *am* sticking to it… 😉)

An elegant, delicious sparkler. French? Nope, despite the name. New Mexico (!)

Crab fresh from the ocean, crisp tostada shells from the local Latino market and avocados right off the tree. It's February. I'm *pinching* myself!

For this year’s first Pisces Party, we headed down the coast to Ahna’s place near the ocean, just south of San Francisco. Since it was a *gorgeous* day, we shared a lovely bottle of bubbly (see pic above) in her garden, then beelined to the beach for crab tostadas and Chardonnay.

Hope you’ve enjoyed your first taste of our 2015 “Pisces Birthday Month” party season. Come join us again soon ~ the birthdays are happening fast and furious now, and I’m delighted to be sharing our parties with you!

Until next time, my friends,
Cheers and happy tasting,
Rosina
